Web browsers are trying to save us time and bandwidth by saving copies of web pages to our hard drives and pulling the page from there when we go back to the site. Well, that is hunky dory if the site is stagnant and doesn't change, but if there is a site that is changing often, then we're not getting the page the web server wants us to see - the latest, cool one with all the new stuff on it....
W
hat to do????? yadayadayada.....there is much debate, discussion with the best of the web geeks to get our web page (through metatags) to automatically tell our browser, "hey, don't go get the page out of the cache that you saved, I want the latest page from the website. Some work, some don't , some do sometimes. I'm new at this stuff, so I am continuing to research, but in the meantime.....
Here are the latest information on how to clear cache in most of the web browsers.
Oh yeah, you'll need to refresh your web page. You can either use the browser's reload/refresh button or most respond to by press the F5 function key. Some browsers may need a few refreshes in succession. I know.. it's a pain and I am working on some voodoo so you don't have to worry about it. I hope you appreciate the browser lesson, because you most likely need on most others as well.
