Featuring JFET operation the Phono Preamp is completely immune to the reactive nature of virtually all phono cartridges. By incorporating a circuit design that offers extremely high input impedance combined with low output impedance (50 ohms) the Phono Preamp matches the musicality of the best tube phono stages with a lower noise floor. With adequate gain for even the lowest output cartridges, the Phono Preamp also features user adjustable input impedance, capacitance and overall gain. Other advanced features include both balanced and single ended operation and gold plated circuit boards for the best in low noise and long life operability.

Its size and styling is identical to our "line stage" preamp, and it is built in the same anodized, machined aluminum chassis so you may stack the two and have a beautiful set. The front panel of the phono preamp is similar to the line-stage preamp — it simply lacks the volume control knob and input switches. It may be used with any line level preamp.

Features
· No expense or feature has been spared in the development of the phono preamp.
· Features include user adjustable input impedance, input capacitance, and gain. It uses ultralow noise FETs in the gain stage so it is so quiet that it can be used with moving coil cartridges without the need for a "head amp" or matching transformer. FETs also offer very high input impedance (like tubes) so that there is minimal interaction with the phono cartridge. In addition to the expected balanced and single ended outputs, the unit even includes balanced inputs for those cartridges that require them.
· Ultra-quiet JFET operation (much quieter than tube preamplifiers).
· Amplifies low-output moving coil cartridges without a head amp or matching transformer.
· Virtually perfect transconductance device with extremely high input impedance like tubes (10 megohms) but low output impedance (50 ohms). Therefore, is immune to the reactive nature of phono cartridges and has no impedance mismatch problems.
· User-adjustable input impedance.
· User-adjustable input capacitance.
· User-adjustable overall gain to match both moving magnet and low-output, moving coil cartridges.
· Both single-ended and balanced operation includes balanced phono cartridge input for superb noise-rejection.
· Slim-line design can be stacked on top of another component instead of requiring its own shelf.
· Styling designed to complement the Sanders Sound Systems line-stage preamplifier.
· Finest construction and components including:
· Machined and anodized aluminum construction.
· Gold plated circuit board.
· Shielded toroid transformer.
