AMPLIFIERS

Conventional amplifiers have serious problems when forced to drive electrostatic loudspeakers. Roger Sanders has developed the first amplifier specifically designed to drive these unusual speakers:

Electrostatic loudspeakers (ESLs) are very different from conventional magnetic speakers and place unusual and difficult demands on the way amplifiers deliver power to them.  A magnetic speaker presents a resistive/inductive load to an amplifier, while an ESL appears mostly as a capacitor.

PREAMPLIFIERS

The circuitry used in the Sanders Sound Systems Preamplifier is the result of an advanced and complete design process combining innovation and proven fundamentals.  This process avoids both the limitations of total adherence to convention and the flaws resulting from inappropriate applications of clever circuit gimmicks.

SPEAKERS

Roger Sanders invented the free-standing, curved electrostatic panel in 1978. He published the technique in "Speaker Builder" magazine in 1980. He expected that his wide-dispersion, curved panels would perform better than narrow-dispersion, planar speakers. But he was stunned to discover that they were inferior to planer speakers with respect to transient response, imaging, frequency response, speaker placement, and output! Frustrated and disappointed, he spent several years studying these phenomena and eventually found that the laws of physics make it impossible for a wide-dispersion loudspeaker to have good transient response, imaging, etc.

CABLES & INTERCONNECTS

At Sanders Sound Systems, we make no extravagant or false statements about our interconnects. We don't claim that they sound better than any other well-designed interconnect. What we DO claim is that they are the very finest quality and are superbly engineered. And we sell them at a reasonable price.

Our speaker cables are specifically designed to NOT alter the frequency response or sound quality of your loudspeakers.  We believe that the speaker manufacturer knows how to get the best sound from his speakers and that we should not interfere with his design.
