So transparent, it practically disappears.
While showing his latest designs (that are manufactured in Conifer, CO) for his amplifiers and preampliers at the 2007 Rocky Mountain Audio Fest in October, Roger was using his original Eros Speakers as part of his system. Everyone wanted to know when he was getting back into speakers. Well, the answer is NOW. Within two months, Roger had a new design and prototype ready for T.H.E. Show in Las Vegas in January 2008.
The 10b is the latest design in Roger Sander's 30+ year quest to build the ultimate hybrid electrostatic loudspeaker.
Utilizing Sanders Sound Systems’ "Ultrastat" composite stator technology; the 10b provides a transparent window to the music and transcends all previous limitations of electrostatic speaker technology. The revolutionary Ultrastat electrostatic element is totally reliable, even at extremely hi-output levels. The result is the ability to present a holographic sound stage at realistic concert hall sound pressure levels. Seamlessly integrating with the Ultrastat panel is a 10" bass driver utilizing a magnetic damping system that starts and stops up to 10x faster than conventional drivers. This unique bass driver is installed in a proprietary transmission line controlled by its own 600 watt Crossover Amplifier. An electronic crossover completes the system and offers finite adjustment of the bass and mid frequency balance to accommodate room variability and personal preference. Unlimited dynamic range, unrivaled sound staging, phenomenal inner detail and powerful low bass response are the hallmarks of the 10b .

The new model features a modular construction which means it can be shipped in smaller boxes and arrive safely at your door without the need for large trucks and cumbersome boxes to store. The 10b comes with improved electrostatic panels and woofer enclosures, along with a dedicated electronic crossover, and a 600 watt/channel bass amplifier, all in a sleek, stylishly-designed package. This speaker practically disappears into the room, both sonically and visually. This helps with the age old problem of the speakers taking over the room. Wood finishes will be available in cherry, maple and walnut. This integrated speaker system will be a worthy anchor of a reference-level high-end audio system of the highest performance possible.

ESL lovers, these will be your last speakers!

Features
· Perfect insulation
· The amplifier cannot damage the panel
· No protective circuitry required
· Panel is arc-proof
· Extremely rugged and durable
· Immune to dust and dirt
· Immune to humidity
· Repels dust
· Unaffected by insects, dust, and foreign objects
· Higher efficiency (98 dB efficient in the 10A speaker)
· Uses slots instead of holes
· Highest precision - made with computerized diamond routing equipment
· Greater percentage of open area and visual transparency
· More attractive appearance than perforated metal designs
· Different wood finishes will be available.
· Cloth woofer grills.
· The chassis is the same one used in our Electrostatic Amplifier, so the styling of the two matches. A modified version of the ESL Amplifier is used to drive the woofers. The power therefore increases from 200 watts/channel to 600 watts/channel.
· Both balanced and single-ended inputs and outputs are standard.
· The original bass control has been split into two frequency sections so you can control the midrange and bass regions of the speaker independently of each other. This makes it possible to perfectly match the speaker to your room acoustics and personal preferences.
· An overall gain control. This is the same, sophisticated, electronic, level control used on our preamplifier. It provides one-hundred, 1 dB steps with channel matching to within 0.1 dB. This makes it possible to match the crossover to your preamplifier's level control for optimum sensitivity. Since the system level can be controlled by the crossover, it is possible to bypass a preamplifier completely and run a single source directly to the crossover.
· The unit has a blue, digital readout that shows the level of each function similar to our preamplifier.
· All functions are available from both the front panel and by optional remote control. The remote control is so convenient that you may prefer to leave your manual preamp's volume turned up, and control the system level with the crossover's sophisticated, remote-control unit.
· Remote control is operated with the Sanders Sound Systems preamp's Home Theater Master transmitter, which can be programmed to operate every component in your system. This eliminates "remote clutter" and makes system operation extremely convenient.
· Highly efficient operation permits the electronics to left on continually without concern for electricity usage.
