The Magtech is powerful, neutral, and full of girth and muscle. It keeps a tight grip on the music and never lets go even if the music gets fast and complicated. The Magtech never loses focus or tires out.
I have a pair of Mark & Daniel Apollo II speakers and these speakers are not the most efficient speakers on the block. They have an impedance from 2 to 4 ohms. Thus they require a muscle amp that can deliver the current to these speakers in order to make them sing. No wimpy amp for these power hungry speakers. But the Magtech more then delivers the necessary power to my Apollo's. A wonderful match made in heaven.
The Magtech delivers clear, powerful and tuneful bass. Wonderfully rich mids and delicate not fatiguing highs. Every detail is superbly captured and portrayed across the sound stage which is deep and wide in all directions.
I am very happy with the Magtech and wouldn't trade it in very anything else even at 3 times its price of 5k. The Magtech is definitely a great value for my dollar.

A 40 year audiophile, I have enjoyed music through a variety of speakers, including direct and reflecting dynamic drivers of various materials, Walsh Cones, Air Motion induction drivers, and bipolar speakers like Ribbons, Electromagnetic induction, and Electrostatic drivers, while using many versions of both tube and transistor electronics. Current system: The Accuphase DP75 CD Player connects directly (without preamp) to the Behringer DCX2496 digital crossover which sends the information to the Kinnergetics SW800 subwoofer amplifiers and Sanders ESL amplifier. Power is supplied from four dedicated electrical circuits.
Roger Sanders Equipment Owned:
- ESL Amplifier
- Speaker cables and interconnects
- Behringer DCX2496 Digital Crossover (also included in Sanders 10C Speaker System)
Comments:
Sanders ESL amplifier and reasonably priced cables provide a powerfully dynamic, tightly controlled, musical presentation with proper frequency balance in my ESL speaker application above 100 hz. The detail, extension, imaging, dimension and overall audio experience is the best that I have ever heard in my home.

Dave and Inez visited us when they came to town to visit their parents, our neighbors. It was intended as something "different" to do with the kids this time when they came to town. They both play cello and they were so impressed, they left that day buying an entire 10c Electrostatic Speaker System. Here are their comments sent after having the system in their home:

I have been an avid audiophile for more than 50 years. I have owned many of the top names in the audio world, such as McIntosh, Marantz (both in the tube days) and also a McIntosh MC-402 amp (current solid state version and selling at $7000 the last time I saw a price), Krell FPB-200 amp, Edge M8M, NRG and several more that I have forgotten the names) I purchased a Sanders Magtech amp about 7 or 8 months ago after receiving it for an audition. After hearing the amp, up went the McIntosh MC-402 for sale. I also had a Mac C220 pre-amp. I also auditioned the Sanders Slim Linestage preamp and after hearing it, the Mac preamp also went up for sale. The combination of the 2 Sanders items has given me the most satisfying sound that I have ever experienced in all the years that I've been an audiophile. And the folks at Sanders Sound Systems are the nicest and most accommodating that I have ever dealt with. If you are in the market for an amp and preamp that is not crazily priced and will compete with anything out there for a reasonable price you owe it to yourself to audition the Sanders products. Won't cost you anything to try it and comes with a lifetime warranty. Doesn't get any better that that.
Sincerely,
Dennis in Hixson (North Chattanooga, TN. |
